It was another beautiful day in the Fraser Valley;
we have had a LONG stretch of cooler, crisp days,
with temperatures of around 5 degrees daily..
Today, we once again went for firewood.
Mom and Dad Neels use only wood for their
heat source, and since our dear neighbour Mr. Soldan
is a huge fan of the outdoors, our dear dog and us,
he came along as well:)

The strategy is to fell the tree across the road, so the majority
of the branches break off on the opposite side when it lands,
GREATLY reducing the amount
of clean up needed...
As you can tell, this tree was tall enough
to catch on the trees on the opposite side
and make it impossible to cut!
They hooked a chain and strap to the tree
as well as the trailer, and pulled it down to the road;)
She loves the outdoors with us!!
