.. we have lived here for 3 years or so, and right from DAY 1,
I said, "that railing has got to go.. can't STAND it..
looks like Christmas all year long!"
Then, we asked a few people over time as to what it would
take to have a nice stained top rail and bottom, and metal spoke
things instead. Apparently, it was a bit of work and would need
to get done at like a mill, since there was some curves involved
in the wood, and so on..
We NEVER had it replaced yet, and it has always bothered me..
When Corney came the other day, Nathan asked if there was
anything we should do for the sale.. maybe touch up the nicks in
the railing etc. Good idea to do, was the answer.

when they walk in the front door. Well, there was no touch up can
in the collection downstairs, so..
I went and bought some dark dark brown/black
and took care of the problem this morning..
