Snow fun and games:)

We must be the only ones in the Valley shovelling snow
ONTO our front steps:)

First, Janae slides down...

Then, Aneira checks if she is ok..

Aneira checks to make sure it is safe for another run next..

South?  Fine..

East?  Check..

Janae makes her 'sit' and 'stay' at the bottom of the slide..

Only to do it all over again!

Finally, Aneira entices Janae over into the 'lawn' area..

Bit of rough-housing is right up her alley:)

My personal favorite of the bunch!!!

Aren't snow days the best when you don't have to drive in them?

She was plowing her own path through the massive, untouched dump - LOVES IT!

And the forecast is.......?

An Arctic ridge of high pressure moving across the Northern British Columbia interior is producing strong outflow winds through coastal valleys and inlets. The strong outflow winds in combination with the cold temperatures are producing wind chill values near minus 20 degrees or below to B.C. north coast through the next few days. Snow is expected to continue over the Eastern Fraser Valley this morning. 5 to 10 cm of snow is forecast through the morning before snow eases by midday. Strong outflow winds will cause local areas of blowing snow with reduced visibilities through the day as well.
Additional accumulations of 5 to 10 cm this morning for the Fraser Valley. This is a warning that significant snowfall is expected or occurring in these regions.

That is some serious icicle they have growing at the shop!

Snow is such fun:)

Not a soul on the roads & a massive dump of snow-
perfect recipe for some good ol' fashioned crazy carpet fun!

Courtney's 2 minutes with the camera..

She went straight to work after a bite to eat (as did Kurt), but while waiting for Kurt to change back into work clothes,
I handed her the camera to capture a few quick
pictures of the beauty outside..

It's a WINTER WONDERLAND out there!

This weather is something else!

The bus still wasn't here at 8:20 this morning, so I brought the girls to school, since I was expected at work at 8:00 a.m.
They were dismissed again at 12:20, so it is officially the first SNOW DAY of the year!

Kurt has no mid-terms today as a result, and with this snowfall warning in effect, who knows what will happen to the 2 exams planned for tomorrow:)

The flakes are massive and the layer grows by the minute!

The dreary slough transformed..

Sometimes we just don't see the beauty of the slough;
the animals in there we do, but..
the slough?
Today is different!
Even a bit of snow won't hamper Aneira
and her Lab instinct!

It's absolutely splendid out there!

WOW!
We live in a beautiful country:)
It switches from gorgeous to absolutely smashing overnight!
Check out the views here..
(First four pictures were from yesterday-Courtney's:)

This is what we woke up to this morning!

The clothesline:

I won't be going far this morning!:

Poor Chuck the inukshuk is blinded...
